Network (Router + Switch + LAN Cables + Wi Fi)

Router job is to forward packets to different networks. Router is capable of clubbing different networks using routing protocols. A routing table is maintained. The routing table contains IP addresses of other networks routers.

Switch works as the center connection point between nodes in a network. When a switch receives a packet from a computer, it checks the destination MAC address from the packet header and retransmits the packet to the destination computer. Switch maintains MAC table that maps all its ports with all connected devices' MAC addresses.

Wi-Fi means Wireless Fidelity. Wireless enables devices connect without any cables based on one of the 802.11 standards, including 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11n.

LAN Cables:

This is an Ethernet technology developed IEEE as an medium between different devices for making communication possible as a result information can be shared or accessed.  These cables comprises with different speeds
